Carers

A carer is a person who provides unpaid ongoing care to someone who has a disability or illness (WA Carers Recognition Act 2004).

If you have someone who helps support you in this way or you yourself provide this type of support then they/you are a carer. As a carer your role is recognised in WA by the Carer Recognition Act 2004 which outlines how carers are to be treated and involved in delivering services.

If you or your carer would like more information about this or feel that VTF is not meeting the Carers Charter please call us and ask to speak the Client Services Manager.
